The Beat Down 2013 – HOK Interview with Tofu Magazine and Review
The popularity of this event has risen over the years and it was obvious with the presence of Fairchild TV and Roger’s On the Dot. According to Jason Young (one of the main organizers of the Beatdown), this was likely their most successful show yet. We arrived at Ryerson Theatre a couple hours before the show and it wasn’t hard to find the entrance with a big line up forming along Gerrard Street of young male and female hip hop dance fanatics. Those who purchased VIP tickets, were able to have a meet and greet with the guest judges on stage an hour before the show. The judges were very friendly and interactive with the fans. Many of them felt it was worth the extra cost to mingle, get dance tips and take pictures with their favourite dancers and personalities. Read the full article here.
