The Beat Down 2013 – BOSS Interview with Anchor Shop and Review


This past weekend marked the 40th anniversary since Hip-Hop pioneer Dj Kool Herc and his sister Cindy Clive first began passing around flyers to the legendary block parties that essentially birthed Hip-Hop as a culture. While he and others gathered in New York City’s SummerStage to celebrate and honor what Hip-Hop has become, here in Toronto those same values and culture were honored and celebrated through The Beat Down Hip-Hop Dance Competition, which was held at the Ryerson Theatre on Saturday night.
